  • Fort Edward- "The Great Carrying Place" on the Hudson River.  Here we tour the Roger's Island Visitor Center, see artifacts, educational video and exhibits of military history in the mid 1700's.
  • Battlefield Park and historic sites, Lake George:  the actual site of several battles in the 18th century and inspiration for the James Fenimore Cooper's Last of the Mohicans novel.
  • Tongue Mountain Range to Ticonderoga:  we meander over rugged mountain ranges, discover routes taken by French soldiers and learn about the Battle of Snowshoes, Roger's Slide and more.  Trip includes time for photo taking at scenic Lake George overlooks.
  • Fort Ticonderoga:  Referred to as "America's Fort" this majestic stone fort overlooks Lake Champlain and was the site of many important battles and events that changed history. Here we can disembark for a two hour tour or utilize their step on service for a parking lot overview- depending on time.  The King's Garden on their grounds offers a beautiful floral respite in summer months.
  • Crown Point Historic Site:  home to ruins of two 18th century era forts.  The first, a French Fort the second, a British Fort abandoned after a horrible explosion-both with unique histories and intrigue.  We visit their interpretive center and watch an excellent interpretive video.
